Palace Digital Studios called upon team Karl and kHyal to create a marketing event in their facility. The goal? To raise awareness among creative professionals about the services they offer as a full-service digital production facility and sound stage.

Using the “SoNo Block Party” branding that we developed for multiple events and our SoNoRocks.com domain — we created an identity system, website, online event registration and collateral.

Our efforts filled Palace with 200+ creative industry guests. We leveraged long-standing relationships with local restaurateurs bringing an international array of fine cuisine — and secured a sponsor who offered samples of her organic gourmet foods for the event. Palace provided security, tours of their studios and clean-up staff. Industry professionals came from as far away as Brooklyn to enjoy an evening of networking, studio tours, appetizers and libations served on the set of Palace’s current production — a feature film starring Christopher Lloyd.

Budget? It paid for itself. Attendees bought tickets for $20 each ($35 at the door) to be part of the action. How long did it take us? Just two weeks!

Special sauce? What made this project even more fun was incorporating the set of a feature film being shot at Palace at the time starring Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd. Spolier alert! We first met Christopher by accident in the alley near our then SoNo offices, before we knew about the production.
